Estate Planning and Wills

Every person over the age of 18 should have a will. It is even more important when you own assets or have family members such as children. Unfortunately, many people in Australia don’t have a will – or if they do, it has not been updated in many years.

And, with the continual rise in value of assets such as Sydney property, and the importance of superannuation, it is important for your will to be drafted by someone with the appropriate expertise, who can ensure that your will takes into account all of your assets including super, and can give you advice in relation to complex structures such as testamentary trusts, which can provide significant asset protection and tax advantages.

Stephen Lynch, who heads up our estate planning team, is a Law Society Accredited Specialist in Wills and Estates. He is a member of the internationally recognised Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) and was named one of NSW’s top wills & estates lawyers in the Doyles Lists every year since 2015.

Stephen can ensure that the process of obtaining or updating your will is quick and painless – and can advise you as to how best to structure your will so that your beneficiaries are protected and any potential family disputes are minimised.
