Area of Practice: Family Law

Alison is a New South Wales Law Society Accredited Specialist in Family Law and holds a Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution Practice.

Alison has practiced in family law for over 20 years and has worked in both private practice and in-house for the Attorney General’s Department.

She has had extensive experience in all areas of family law and is passionate about assisting clients through the challenges of navigating disputes, whether they be related to complex property settlements for the division of assets (including those involving complex trust structures and significant tax implications) or parenting arrangements (including for children at risk due to family violence).

Alison adopts a pragmatic approach to her practice, ensuring her clients are fully informed so they can make decisions best suited to their family. At times this may require engaging with experts such as psychologists, family therapists, accountants and valuers.  She is results-driven and works towards strategic and cost-effective outcomes for her clients.
