Stella Li

Area of Practice – Family Law

Although she now specialises in family law, Stella started her legal journey volunteering with Community Legal Centres, assisting clients with tenancy and welfare rights issues. She later gained valuable experience as a paralegal at a boutique law firm in Sydney CBD, working across Criminal and Family Law.

Upon discovering her true calling in the field of family law, she honed her skills in that area, working at a boutique family law firm in Parramatta, and a mid-sized firm, before joining Somerville Legal in 2025.

Stella is experienced in all areas of family law and has particular experience advising on and appearing for cases pertaining to property settlement and/or parenting disputes (not only between parents, but also in unique circumstances such as involving grandparents) and arising out of the breakdown of same sex relationships. She also has experience in drafting and advising on financial agreements.
